History of Trumbull Family Culligan
For over 55 years, Emerald Coast Culligan's mission has been to deliver high-quality water treatment products that will benefit every part of our customers' lives. We hope to raise the quality of life by purifying its most essential element: water.
More than 55 years ago Den Trumbull started a water-conditioning business. His uncle was in business with Emmett Culligan, the founder of the national water conditioning company. Trumbull's son, Denslow Jr., entered the family partnership with his father and Jack Strout, a brother in law.
Originally located on Harrison Avenue, the Trumbulls and Stout were busy selling water conditioners in Panama City, FL. In 1965 at the age of 70 , the senior Trumbull retired and his son, Den, took over as president . His youngest son, Jay entered the family business.
In 1973 the business relocated into a larger facility, their current location at 315 15th Street.Stout left the company for more than ten years to pursue other business opportunities. He rejoined the company over a decade later as vice president in charge of all technical aspects of the company. The business has grown through the years to include well drilling and pumping water which is separate from the franchise.
They started bottling water in 1989 and in 1997 acquired the distribution of Econfina Spring Water. Today the business serves the Florida Panhandle and Southeastern Alabama with offices in Panama City, Fort Walton Beach, Mobile and Dothan, Alabama.
We've seen about every water problem imaginable and we're solving these problems to deliver the refreshing, clean and pure water that's become our hallmark.
